Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru
Karthick Naren's directorial debut, 'Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru', is a non-linear masterpiece that immediately grips the viewer with its intricate plotting and atmospheric tension. Much like 'Ratsasan', it relies on meticulous investigative work and a pervasive sense of mystery, but adds a unique spin with its fractured timeline and an unreliable narrator. Rahman's performance as the retired cop, deeply scarred by a past case, is phenomenal, anchoring the film's psychological depth. The screenplay is a labyrinthine puzzle, each piece fitting perfectly to reveal a shocking climax. Cinematography enhances the moody, rain-soaked noir aesthetic, cementing its place as a groundbreaking thriller.
